What is a chemical peel?

It's a chemical exfoliation. Don’t be afraid of the words “acid” or “chemical peel”. They may sound intimidating but our peels are gentle and effective without the Samantha Jones in “Sex and the City” chemical burn look. (Side note: If, like me, you’re old enough to have watched Sex and the City when it originally aired, you need these anti-aging facials!) Chemical peel solutions dissolve dead skin cells, unclog pores, fight signs of aging and help reveal clear, smooth, and evenly pigmented skin comfortably and with no down time while also increasing collagen production and skin turnover. What to Expect

Chemical peels provide subtle improvement over time and are often done in a series. Starting your series with a mild peel and then progressing to slightly deeper peels that work below the top layer of skin will improve age spots, reduce skin discolorations, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Depending on the strength of the peel you receive, you may experience a warm, mild tingling sensation for a few minutes during application. Within a few days of your appointment, you can expect a tight feeling, and flaking skin. While you will see results after just one appointment, results are cumulative so we recommend a series of peels which are available to purchase as discounted packages.
